Communication/ Public Relations, Information Afghanistan

RESUME

Objective
I have graduated from Journalism faculty of Kabul University; and I have been working with different international organizations since 2002 in different position. I am available to work in the fields of Communications, Public Relations, Public Information Journalist/Reporter, Management & Leadership,
Public Affairs, Investigation, and Security, for development of the country.

Work Experiences 04 September, 2007 to present as Senior Communication/Public Relation officer with USAID
(D&G/AMSP) Afghanistan Municipal Strengthening Program implemented by International City/County Management
Associate ICMA, Kabul Afghanistan.

Major Responsibilities:
oDevelop communication strategy for sharing information about ICMA`s activities in Afghan cities.
oDevelop methodologies for communicating with citizens in cities where literacy rates are high.
oAssist local official in doing interviews and providing other information to citizens pm radio.
oWrite scripts for radios dramas, TV documentaries, TV spots and other while for USAID ¡V AMSP all projects
(Dari/ English).
oWrite Press Releases (PR), Highlight Story, Success Stories, News Articles, Public Services Announcements
( PSA) and other concerned media issue USAID ¡V AMSP all projects (English Dari)
oPrepare AMSP communication department monthly and quarterly reports for Washington home office.
oDesign bulletin boars, bill boards, poster, and other communication visible items for all provincial
USAID ¡V AMSP projects.
oTranslate all major documents including communication issues.
oTo liaise with local groups, networks councils (shora) particularly those with a social inclusion focus,
to support and enhance community and target groups participation.
Assist in developing marketing strategies for local government, to enhance their credibility in the
city.
oAssist in developing special vents in cities to build community participation.
oResponding to requests for specific information from external agencies.
oBe in close Co ordination with Afghan media and productions.
02 December 2006 till 22 August, 2007 as Journalist USAID with Human Resource Logistic Support (HRSL)
Program, implemented by international Relief and Developments IRD, Kabul Afghanistan.

Major Responsibilities:
oWriting articles about energy sector
oTranslate the articles
oWrite and translate radio drama and write and direct short TV documenters in energy sector
oAttend the meeting with government and donor community
oAttend the meeting with parliament evaluation commission members and Mili Gerga
oAttend some meeting abroad the country
oResearch to find sources for developing work strategy
oOrganize publication issues for the articles
oSite visit and prepare and collect the information
oSite visit and photography pictures from the project
oPrepare energy and related reports for the office
oPrepare monthly report for Donor/Ministry Liaison
oCoordinate and visit offices of the publication radio station and TV station for broadcasting and publishing
our articles and TV and Radio programs
01st January 2006 till 30 November 2006 with SSSI (Strategic Security Solution International) as Investigation
Department In charge, Kabul Afghanistan.

Major Responsibilities:
oConduct investigation to verify educational qualifications pervious employment claims, references allegation
involving character and suitability of applicants for employment with SSSI and associates.

oSetting up interviews with SSSI security guards and associated agencies staff to vetting them for their
position.
oProvide advices on current status of investigation to Human Resource Manager.
oEnsure quality of investigation and screening process by supervising investigators and their workload.

oPrepare and collate weekly and monthly reports and activities of investigation staff HR Manager
o Attend all disciplinary proceedings as facilitator and interpreter on behalf of the Disciplinary Panel

05th May 2005 till 01 January 2006 with SSSI (Strategic Security Solution International) as Investigator/Screener,
Kabul Afghanistan.

Major Responsibilities:
oCoordinate with all departments for their personal requirements.
oOversee the interviewing and hiring of all local national employees.
oConduct second level interviews for applicants for key position.
oSet up and attend weekly hiring and disciplinary boards.
o Coordinate with training to provide qualified trainees in the timely manner.
o Oversee testing of prospective employees and coordinated with screening to insure all new employees.
o Tracking of employees¡¦ changes and moves.
oOrganize, plan, and execute recruiting employees out of Kabul.
oCoordinate Ops, KSP, QRF project managers.
oConduct HR in-brief for all new local national trainees.
oPrepare evaluation reports on the background, conduct, and suitability for employment of applicants.


15th May 2003 ¡V 30 April 2005 Interpreter /Translator with US Embassy Security Department at (NEC)
New Embassy Compound at Kabul which contracted by Dyn Corp International a biggest international security
company in the world.

Major Responsibilities:
ľMake all entrance delivery paper works for sub contractors, (KBR, ARC, and YUKSEL).
ƒæTranslate and interpret document upon request by expatriates¡¦ staff of embassy.

ľEscort visitors, guests, and temporary employees of contractors inside the NEC site of embassy.
ľCoordinate subcontractor (KBR, ARC, and YUKSEL) to brought construction material and deliveries from
Dubai and Pakistan to the embassy.
ľAssist expatriate security staff for interviewing, eye scanning, and budge issuing for new employees
of contractor.
ľPatrolling all construction areas while required.
ľPrepare ranch shooting mission for new security staff.
ľClose coordination with marine forces of US embassy.
ľAssisted US Security on essential times outside embassy.
May 2002 ¡V Aug 2002 Journalist/Translator and Guide with Press section of UNDP/ GTZ Organizations in
emergency Loya Gerga (Big Assembly) election Kabul Afghanistan.

Major Responsibilities:
ľParticipate in press conference which held by high rang staff of government.
ľReport the new issues of the conference to related office.
ľSet up all conference equipments while required.
ľGuide and help voters and delegate in essential times.

ľTranslating document for Afghan voters and delegate.
ľInterpreting speeches from English to Dari and Pashto, when they need.
